Winter Snow
Winter snow you are so sparkly white and pristine as if no
one touched you. You blanket the ground in your peaceful white, powdery glory,
making towns silent. I wish that life could be as sparkly white as you. Yet
there is too much tumultuous change. Sometimes change is good but other times
it is wrought with stolen dirt and sand that turns your fluffy powdery presence
into icy stone. I try to reach out to walk through your icy expanse but I only
slip and fall. Although I fall, I get up and try again. Yet my fading memories
of your glamorous white sheen, shining even brighter in the sun, seem a mockery
of what you’ve become. I don’t know you anymore winter snow. Don’t leave me frozen and alone so soon.
